Online entries or emailed entry forms must have been lodged or emailed by midnight 23 December 2011.

Copies of entered works must be received by the judges by midnight 31 December 2011.

2010 Aurealis Awards winners announced

Winners of the 2010 Aurealis Awards

, were announced at a glittering evening ceremony held on 21st May 2011 at North Sydney's Independent Theatre and 

hosted by Garth Nix.

Winners across the thirteen categories and approximately 600 entries, represent the best of Australian fantasy, horror and science fiction writing in 2010 as judged by a panel of their peers.

2010 Aurealis Awards Finalists

Entries for the 2010 Aurealis Awards, Australia's premier awards for speculative fiction, closed in December 2010. Following an extensive judging processa list of finalists was decided.

The 2011 Aurealis Awards, are for works of speculative fiction written by an Australian citizen, or permanent resident, and published for the first time between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2011.

Nominations for the Peter McNamara Convenors' Award for Excellence will also close on 31 December 2011. This award is for achievement in speculative fiction or related areas. It may take into account a body of work over a number of years; it can also be for a work of non-fiction, artwork, electronic or multimedia work, film or TV that brings credit or attention to the speculative fiction genres.
